The Chopping Block

Apparently this commercial for the upcoming NBC cooking competition show, "The Chopping Block," first aired during the Super Bowl. I missed it (must have taken my bathroom break), but I did see it during the block of Thursday night comedies. Michelin-starred British chef Marco Pierre White is a real hard ass - he once made Gordon Ramsay cry.

White took over the helm of the UK version of Ramsay's "Hell's Kitchen" in September of 2007. So will "The Chopping Block" be a re-do of that show? From what I've read, the series will feature teams of couples who run neighboring NY restaurants; each week one couple will be removed, based on the decision of a panel of judges.

Whatever the outcome, there are bound to be tears, shouting, and probably lots of bleeping along the way. Will you watch?
