To make up for the
black bean brownie experiment, I made some banana bread, using
my favorite recipe. I've been eating it for breakfast all week - it's good stuff! Nice and moist, not too rich or sweet, with lots of nuts (I used both pecans and walnuts).
Do you have a favorite banana bread recipe? Or one for any other quick bread, for that matter?
That reminds me...
ReplyDeleteThose 'brownies'? - I made'm.
Had everything but the SF chocolate syrup at home, so when I walked past that in the store I figured 'why not?'.
Turns out there's a good reason 'why not'
oh quick breads, how I love you.
ReplyDeleteI made a quick bread version of soda bread last night in muffin form. It smelled amazing and batter was fantastic. I will report back with actual results after I eat one.
Yeah - it's nasty, isn't it? But I don't think using regular chocolate syrup would have improved things, do you?
ReplyDeleteBeth - I'm eager to read all about it!
ReplyDeleteI did take pics of the brownies, btw. Do you want to do a follow-up post on them? I was thinking I might, but I haven't found the right words yet.
ReplyDelete;-)
Sure, Nanc. If you want to do a post, I can link to it here, or if you want to send me the text, I can do the post here for ya. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quick bread is pumpkin bread. I love all things pumpkin. The recipe I use was given to me by a friend years ago, but I think it came from one of the traditional American cookbooks - Better Homes or Betty Crocker.
