Just received the 2 Indian cookbooks you recommended in the mail. Cooking a birthday dinner this weekend, so can't try them out, but will asap. Thanks.
PS I made a vadouvan spice a while back and it had a slight burnt taste. Should it or did my oven just overcooked it?

Vadouvan should have a bit of a burnt onion flavor. Did it taste good to you? Or just burnt?

I think it was a little too burnt. I'm going to adjust the time or temp.
