To continue with today's theme of miniaturized food, this post is about wee burgers, aka "sliders." Popularized by White Castle in the 1920s, this pint-sized version of the hamburger is found on menus in many restaurants these days.
Mr Minx had just made a batch of pesto from our rampantly growing spicy globe basil plant and cashews and thought it would be good on a burger.
Indeed it was, particularly with some sautéed mushrooms and onions and a dollop of whole grain honey mustard mayonnaise. C'mon - you don't need a recipe for that, do you?
Honey Mustard Mayo
1 Tablespoon whole grain mustard
1 teaspoon honey
2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
Mix together. Eat.

What IS it about the teensy burger? Husb LOVES them, just on principle alone (though he has never had the white castle type -- we don't have that here). In any case, if it's a tiny burger, he wants it.
MMMM tiny burgers! have you tried making your own mayo? it's so easy!
